1. Glycolic Acid (5%)
Mechanism: Acts as a chemical exfoliant by breaking the intercorneocyte cohesion bonds in the stratum corneum, promoting selective desquamation and accelerating cell turnover.

Biological Effect: It indirectly stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and dermal collagen by activating membrane receptors in dermal fibroblasts. It has moderate hygroscopic capacity and promotes water retention in the stratum corneum.

2. Licorice Extract (Glycyrrhiza glabra Root Extract)

Mechanism: Inhibits tyrosinase, reducing melanin synthesis, and acts as a natural anti-inflammatory agent thanks to its high glabridin content.

Biological Effect: Reduces erythema induced by exfoliants and prevents post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, particularly in sensitive skin or higher phototypes (III–V).

3. Proteins of Silk (Hydrolyzed Silk)

Mechanism: Low molecular weight peptides with high affinity for skin keratin, forming a semi-permeable moisturizing film.

Biological Effect: It promotes water retention, reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL), and improves surface texture after exfoliation.

4. Glycerin
Mechanism: Physiological moisturizer that forms hydrogen bonds with water molecules, improving the hydration of the stratum corneum.

Biological Effect: Prevents dehydration secondary to the use of exfoliating acids and protects the integrity of the barrier function.

• Apply to completely clean skin, without any previous occlusive products.
• Use preferably at night to avoid photoinstability of AHAs.
• Avoid simultaneous application with retinoids or mechanical exfoliants; alternate on different nights.
• Do not apply on areas with open wounds or active dermatitis.

• ¿Puedo usarlo con piel sensible?
  Sí, pero con precaución inicial: empezar aplicando solo 1–2 noches por semana y observar tolerancia. Si sientes ardor persistente o descamación excesiva, reducir frecuencia o suspender
• ¿Puedo usarlo por la mañana?
  Se recomienda su uso únicamente por la noche, pues el ácido glicólico aumenta la fotosensibilidad cutánea y su eficacia puede verse reducida si se combina con productos diurnos.
• ¿Se puede usar diariamente?
  No. Inicialmente debe usarse en noches alternas. Según tolerancia, podría incrementarse hasta 3–4 noches por semana, pero no todas las noches.
• ¿Se puede combinar con retinoides u otros activos exfoliantes?
  Debe emplearse con precaución: alternar noches de ácido glicólico con noches de retinol, o espaciar entre ambos. No aplicar simultáneamente para evitar sobreexfoliación.
• ¿Es seguro durante embarazo o lactancia?
  Según la marca, sí es apto para embarazo y lactancia.
• ¿Cuándo veré resultados?
  Según la marca: efecto visible en luminosidad en 3 noches, mejoras más profundas en textura y uniforme en unas 3 semanas.
• ¿Cuánto tiempo dura una vez abierto?
  Siga el PAO del envase (generalmente 6 a 12 meses) y manténgalo en lugar fresco y sin luz directa.
